Cove of Classics is a community for retro game collectors, not an ad platform. We collect only what we need to run the site, and we don't sell or share your data with third parties.
The short version
We collect what you give us, we use it to run the site, and we don't sell it. That's it.
How you sign in
Cove of Classics uses Google OAuth for login. When you sign in, you're redirected to Google to authenticate — we never see your password. Google sends us your name, email address, and a unique account ID so we can create or recognise your account.
As part of that flow, Google knows you visited Cove of Classics and authenticated. What Google does with that information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We don't control it and we don't receive anything beyond what you explicitly grant during sign-in.
What we collect
When you use Cove of Classics, we store:
- Your account information (name and email, received from Google at sign-in)
- Your game collection data — the stuff you actually put in
- Session data to keep you logged in
Usage statistics
We use Matomo to understand how people use the site — things like which pages are visited and how long people spend on them. This helps us improve the service. Matomo is a privacy-respecting analytics tool; we do not use it to track you across other websites or to build advertising profiles.

- Sell your data
- Share your personal information with anyone beyond what's described above
- Run ads or use advertising trackers
